Questions people ask
How do you travel from Agartala to Aizawl by road?
It's a long hill drive through north Tripura into Mizoram that takes most of a day, so we plan it as a full travel day with stops. If you'd rather save time, we can switch it to a flight, which costs more.
Do I need a permit for Tripura and Mizoram?
Tripura doesn't need an Inner Line Permit. Mizoram does: Indian visitors need an ILP, which we help you get online or on arrival at Lengpui airport.
What makes this the budget option?
It uses clean budget hotels and guest houses, breakfast-only meals and intercity transfers rather than a private car every day. For palace-city hotels and private transport, see our Premium Tripura & Mizoram tour.
When is the best time to visit Tripura and Mizoram?
October to March, when the weather is dry and pleasant; December to February is the most comfortable for long drives.
