    Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking a trip with us. Can't find your answer? Ask us directly.

    Booking & payments

How do I book a trip?

Send us an enquiry through the website or WhatsApp. A travel expert will share a tailored itinerary and quote. Once you're happy with it, paying the advance confirms your booking and we start arranging permits, stays and transport.

How much advance do I need to pay?

Usually 30% of the total package cost. For peak season, North Sikkim, flight-inclusive packages and some special properties, up to 50% may be required. The balance is due before the trip starts, as shown on your invoice. Bookings made within 15 days of travel usually need full payment at confirmation.

Are the prices on the website per person?

Yes, package prices are shown per person and are starting prices. Your final quote depends on travel dates, group size, room sharing and hotel category, and is valid for the dates and group size it mentions.

Which payment methods do you accept?

UPI, debit/credit cards and net banking. Card or gateway payments may carry a small processing charge, which is always shown before you pay.

    Can I customise a package?

Absolutely. Every itinerary can be adjusted for dates, pace, budget, hotel category and interests, or we can design a fully custom route across multiple states.

    Permits

    Which places need permits?

Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur. In Sikkim, protected areas such as Tsomgo Lake and North Sikkim need a separate permit. Foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit or Restricted Area Permit for several of these regions.

    Do you arrange the permits?

Yes. We handle the applications for the places on your itinerary. You'll need to send a government photo ID and passport-size photographs in advance; permits can be refused or delayed if documents are incorrect or late.

    Cancellations & refunds

What if I need to cancel?

Send your cancellation request in writing. Charges depend on how many days before departure we receive it: 30+ days – 10%, 21–29 days – 25%, 15–20 days – 50%, 7–14 days – 75%, and less than 7 days or no-show – 100% of the package cost. Some peak-season and North Sikkim bookings follow stricter supplier terms, which we always tell you about before you confirm.

    How long do refunds take?

Refunds are normally processed within 10–15 working days of confirming the refund amount, subject to bank and payment-gateway timelines. Non-refundable items such as airfare booked on non-refundable fares are excluded.

    Planning your trip

When is the best time to visit Northeast India?

October to April suits most of the region, with clear mountain views in autumn and spring. June to September is monsoon: waterfalls in Meghalaya are spectacular, but heavy rain can cause landslides in the hills. Each destination page lists its own best season.

How do I reach Northeast India?

Guwahati is the main gateway, with flights and trains from across India. For Sikkim and Darjeeling, fly to Bagdogra or take a train to New Jalpaiguri (NJP). Dimapur, Imphal, Agartala and Aizawl (Lengpui) also have airports. We include pickups from your arrival point.

Do you organise group, corporate or solo trips?

Yes — we plan everything from solo and couple getaways to family holidays, college groups and corporate retreats with conference venues and team activities.

    Where do your tours start?

Each tour starts from the nearest gateway to its destination, so you can join from anywhere in India: Bagdogra airport or NJP station for Sikkim and Darjeeling, Guwahati for Assam, Meghalaya and most Arunachal trips, Dimapur for Nagaland, Imphal for Manipur, Agartala for Tripura and Lengpui (Aizawl) for Mizoram.

    Destination quick answers

Do Indians need an Inner Line Permit for Sikkim?

No. Indian nationals don't need a permit for general entry into Sikkim. Protected areas — Tsomgo Lake, Nathula and North Sikkim (Lachen, Lachung, Gurudongmar) — need permits, which we arrange with your photo ID and passport photos.

Is North Sikkim suitable for senior citizens?

Lachung and Yumthang are manageable for most healthy seniors. Gurudongmar Lake is at about 17,800 ft, so seniors and anyone with heart or breathing conditions should check with a doctor first; we can plan a gentler route that skips it.

How many days are enough for Darjeeling and Kalimpong?

Four to five days: two nights in Darjeeling for Tiger Hill, the toy train and tea gardens, and two in Kalimpong. Kalimpong is about 50 km (2–2.5 hours) from Darjeeling.

Is Kaziranga open in the monsoon?

No. Kaziranga National Park closes for the monsoon, roughly June to September, and safaris usually restart in October. November to April is the main safari season.

How far is Jorhat airport from Kaziranga?

Roughly 95–100 km, about 2 hours by road — closer than Guwahati, which is about 4.5–5 hours away.

How far is Cherrapunji from Guwahati, and Dawki from Shillong?

Cherrapunji (Sohra) is roughly 150 km from Guwahati via Shillong, about 4–5 hours. Dawki is roughly 80 km from Shillong, about 2.5–3 hours by road.

Is the Double Decker root bridge trek suitable for everyone?

It's a moderate trek of roughly 3,500 steps each way between Tyrna and Nongriat, so it suits people with reasonable fitness. Staying overnight in Nongriat makes it easier; the Riwai root bridge near Mawlynnong is a short-walk alternative.

Is Tawang safe for a family trip?

Yes, Tawang is a popular family destination. Plan for the altitude at Sela Pass (13,700 ft), cold evenings and long mountain drives, and keep a buffer day in winter when snow can briefly close the road.
